Choosing a finish that suits them

The best finish is one that suits the coat, the season and your week. Here’s how to choose.

Start with the coat

Curly coats can be shaped. Double coats should be de-shed, not shaved. Wiry coats keep their texture with a neat tidy.

Think about upkeep

Longer and fuller looks lovely but needs more brushing. Shorter is easier to keep tidy at home.

Think about the season

Many owners go a little shorter in summer and leave the coat longer through the colder months.

Keep them comfortable

A clear face, tidy feet and clean hygiene areas matter more than any style.

Bring a photo

A picture of a finish you like, even of another pet, is the quickest way to show us what you mean.
